Types of Care With Liposuction Surgery Post OP

Liposuction is more popular than ever and many inquiring minds want to know what can be expected once they get home from the surgery. While there used to be horror stories of people being in agonizing pain after the surgery, now surgeons show patients that are talking on their cell phones during the surgery. While techniques have improved, care of body with liposuction surgery afterwards has remained relatively similar.
Once the procedure has been completed, the patient will meet with the doctor to get a list of care instructions that will outline everything that can be expected over the next two months or so. Be sure to ask questions in regards to anything that is not clear. It is imperative that the patient understand every bit of what they must do in order to heal properly.
When the surgery is completed, the patient will have to wear a compression garment and must stay in that garment for the following two days. Be prepared to do little but lie around and rest as the garment must stay on at all times and cannot get wet for any reason. After the first two days, the patient can shower, but must then keep the garment on at all other times. When that period has passed, they can then take the garment off when they go to bed, but it must be worn during the day.
This garment is one of the major keys to the recovery process. Because the normal bond of the skin is separated (because of the fat removal) during the surgery, it needs time to create another bond. The compression garment enables this to happen without the appearance of sagging.
There will also be bruising in and around the area where the fat is taken from. It may look pretty bad at times, but this is normal and will eventually heal. Because of this, the area will also be extremely sore and rest is the best medicine. This procedure is very invasive and when the surgery is over, it shows.
Once the patient is home and resting, they may experience some leaking from the wounds of the surgery. Do not panic and think that something is wrong as it is nothing more than the fluids that were not sucked out during the liposuction. It should not be a heavy flow, but more like a seeping. Just keep the areas as dry as possible so that the garment is not damaged.
For the first few days after the surgery, the only thing that should be done is rest. While it is unlikely the patient will feel like doing anything else anyway, it is just better to be safe and heed the warning. Once the initial 48 hours passes, they can then get a shower, but the garment must be worn at all other times and they must take it easy. Light activity can be resumed after that period, but because the garment is still being worn, it is better to keep the heavy exercise back for just a bit longer. About two months after the surgery the patient can resume their normal routine.
When people first get home from the surgery and are able to take off the garment, they are usually shocked by the amount of bruising. The body hurts and it may seem like it will never get better, but recovery is far quicker than it would appear at that moment. The important thing after the surgery is to take it easy and allow the body to once again create the bond that it had. In just a short while, the bruises will be gone and slimmer body will be staring back in the mirror.…

Back to The Future – Meet Your Network Equipment Gear Demands

Network Communications are expanding rapidly, and this is changing the way we all work, live and entertain. We are now truly able to stay connected virtually anywhere and at anytime. The market and its associated technological advancements are moving quickly and companies need to stay ahead of the curve to be able to satisfy the demand for speed and data space.
In order to provide the ultra-fast data speeds necessary to stay ahead of users’ rapidly growing online video demands and to set the foundation for a whole new way of networking, Cisco unveiled a new Internet technology that is simply futuristic. Known as “CRS-3,”A this new network routing system will be able to offer downloads of up to 322 Terabits per second, according to the company. To give an example, in Cisco terms, the router will be able to download the entire printed collection of the Library of Congress in 1 second and stream every movie ever created in less than 4 minutes.
Cisco said the CRS-3 will triple the speed of its predecessor, the CRS-1, and it will offer speeds of up to 12-times faster than the next fastest product on the market. The company invested $1.6 billion in the technology and will begin selling the routers at $90,000.
The foundation for the CRS-3 was based on rapid proliferation of smart-phones and the growing popularity of advanced applications that circle around how mobile providers will be responding to this change in service types and rising expectations of their users.
Additionally, the business and technical landscape is changing dramatically – expanding competition, shift in revenue streams, next gen. broadband technology deployments and move to all-IP architecture. These forces require mobile operators to build networks in new, “smarter” ways in order to be prepared to meet future demand.
Even though some say that the expansion of those speeds and network capacity are not necessary at the moment, many argued that the fast-growing media usage on mobile phones, mobile data and need for high-bandwidth mobile applications is exploding and will ultimately demand it.
The bottom line is that even if you do not require such a vast technological breakthrough at the moment, Cisco is definitely the company, one should look at, when considering what brand of networking to use. Satisfaction is guaranteed and you can be sure you are always staying ahead of the curve even with older models, since they are always designed and manufactured to meet prospective needs.…

What Is Java And Why Should You Learn It?

In the computing industry, being able to use Java is a crucial skill. Java is a programming language used to make interactive content for webpages, stand-alone software, and server-side programs. The Java platform is the invisible force behind numerous apps we use in a variety of equipment, from personal computers to game consoles, as well as networks. Today, it is used by approximately 9 million software designers, and millions of end-users worldwide. Java is truly everywhere. 1 billion desktops and 3 billion cellular phones run Java. At the same time, 100% of Blu-ray players run this program. There are also more than 900 million Java runtime environment downloads annually.
History of Java platform
Java technology was created by James gosling, along with a small group of software engineers at Sun Microsystems in the early 90’s. The team had the belief that the next phase of computing was the union of electronic gadgets and users. Earlier on in this programming language’s development, Java was named differently, specifically Oak and subsequently Green. The Java language project was initially designed for interactive television, but back then it was too complex for existing digital cable systems. By 1995, Sun Microsystems introduced Java 1.0, and the company promoted it as a Write Once, Run Anywhere computing language. This implies that, Java applications can be created on any device, compiled as a standard bytecode, and run on any device that is loaded with a Java virtual machine.
Why software designers make use of Java
Through Java, software designers can write in one platform and be guaranteed that it will run on virtually any other platform. Apart from its cross-platform benefits, it is also efficient, secure, and portable, making it invaluable to developers. Using this programming language, software builders can create powerful and efficient software for a number of devices like set-top boxes, printers, peripheral devices for computers, video games, medical equipment, and so much more. It can also be used along with extensions like OSGi or CORBA to produce highly customized software or services.
Ways to learn Java
If you are interested to learn Java, there are many colleges and universities that are offering courses in this language. You can also develop your skills by browsing articles added to Oracle’s Java developer website, being a member in online Java forums, newsletters, and signing up for instructor-led courses available on the Internet. Additionally, there are a lot of books you can use to learn Java. With so many alternatives to learn Java, there is high chance that you can find one that matches your requirements.…

Families and Technology – Beware the Social Downfall

This is a high-tech world we live in. It was many years ago and still is, but the pace at which it is advancing is staggering. We barely get used to a new gadget or idea and it has evolved into a more complex gadget and we must have it. Our children, our employers, and friends must have it, too. Has all of this been a positive or negative influence on our families?
For all of time distance between relatives, friends and business associates had been a challenge of fulfilling the need to talk face to face as if in the same room and to experience what is going on in their world. Today’s advancement in communication has given us several ways to squash that challenge and have control over it. The cell phone, iPods, PDAs, laptops, Smartphones, video phones, and computers provide almost limitless ability to communicate by talking, text messaging, instant video calls, computer use, and access to the internet. We can work and play more efficiently.
What good has all this done for the family? Keeping in touch with children and spouses on cell phones has become a necessity in times of emergencies and needing to know their whereabouts. Many service providers offer lower plans to help keep them connected while offering children their favorite, text messaging. Video phones, Skype on computers, and cell phone video fulfill a need for friends and families, especially in the military, to feel the joy of seeing each other regardless of the distance between them. The social contact and content over the internet is awe-inspiring. Many people have found their true love on an online dating service and started families. The knowledge to be found on the internet is never-ending. I can’t remember how I used to find out so much information before. Yes, I’m that old. Parents have a choice to work full-time or part-time at home via the computer or PDA. This can mean lower commute and child care costs. Their employers may be able to restructure their companies to save on expenses. Television events still bring friends and families together. Children enjoy their video games which aids them in keeping up on advancing technology. All of these things aren’t expected to go away but just keep progressing.
Quality time for families has given many of us a vast catalog of fond memories. Socializing within the family circle is in jeopardy. Going into our own retreats with our choice of entertainment has alienated the family structure as we’ve known it. Children demonstrate more bad behavior with the absence of family values and closeness not being constant enough in their lives. The whole family gathering around the dinner table is a source of support, problem solving and a release from the day’s trials. It teaches etiquette, empathy and social skills. Even if families manage a dinner together it is too often interrupted with phone calls, text messaging, watching television or listening to an iPod. Dinner time can become a battle trying to put away the distractions of our modern world. Some families still compete with all of this by having family movie or game nights. Some still try to read that bedtime story to their young ones. We have allowed ourselves to become addicted to email, text messaging, and connecting online by ourselves. We are putting our family life on the back burner and not worrying too much that it may get burned.
Some families and parents realize too late the damage being done by our all so busy, modern world of phones and computers. They have difficulty switching to parenting mode and instead passively monitor their children. They may stay at home and work but they work more and their children see it and are affected by it. Children must have attention from their parents to learn to socialize, grasp the commitment for learning, feel security, and to become strong, confident adults. Spouses need personal time together to enrich their relationships. The internet has engulfed many and chat rooms have caused marital problems and divorces. At the pace we are going I fear the breakdown of the social structure of the family which will lead to the decline of the social structure in society itself.
Like it or not advancing technology isn’t going away. We need to learn to hold onto our family social structure. We can embrace the positive influences of our changing world and strive to keep the negative influences away. I remember my parents not liking rock and roll music when I was a kid but I like it. Now kids today like rap music but I don’t. Each generation to come will accept changes since they grew up with them. I believe there should be a grandparent or watchdog in every family now and in …

Kids and Technology – Is This Tandem Beneficial?

Today, technology has played a very big role in everyone’s life. With online banking, transactions have never been this easy and convenient. With eShopping, purchasing goods has never been this far-reaching.
All these technological advancements, however, have placed a strong hold to children too. Today, you could hardly see a kid without a PSP, a Nintendo DS or a video system at home. Talk about simple stuff, nearly every kid has a television or a computer in his room.
Truth be told, kids’ access to technology is both beneficial and dangerous. Let’s see why.
On a Positive Note
Today, more than ever, kids have unlimited access to the internet. They can play with their video gaming consoles everyday. And of course, they can watch television all day long. As a result, children are exposed to a lot of visual and auditory stimulation.
This is a good thing, because at age 0-6, a kid’s brain is still developing. So they need as much stimulation as possible to become smarter and better individuals.
By being exposed to the latest in technology, kids are taught – at an early age – about the vastness and the usefulness of the internet and other video games. Learning becomes multi-faceted as kids today no longer solely depend on one instructional medium: books.
On a Negative Light
Child psychologists and medical practitioners, however, are unanimous in identifying the negative effects of too much exposure to technology. They contend that too much visual and auditory stimulation produces “addiction-like” effects. Because kids are used to too much stimulation, they’d grow restless, anxious and even aggressive when they do not have this level of “input.” This explains why they get irritable when they are just told to stay put and not play with their PSP’s.
Second, too much exposure to technology could interfere with quality time with their families. Instead of spending their time playing or going to the park with their parents and siblings, kids would prefer to stay at home and be in the company of the computer or their home gaming sets.
Psychologists also believe that during their development years, kids should spend more time in active play, physical undertaking and even reading. With the presence of laptops and gaming consoles, however, these activities are set along the sidelines.
As a result, their social skills maybe affected. Because kids now find more meaning in playing alone, they would find it hard to appreciate the company of others. Everyone knows that social skills are very important for one’s success, as such, this has to be developed as early as 2 years of age.
The advent of technology brings with it a multitude of advantages. With technology, people are experiencing a better quality of life. But as with anything else, too much of something is bad. Therefore, it is your challenge to know when something is too much, or too little. It is up to you to balance the exposure of your child to visual and auditory stimulation. As a parent, it is your call to know when exposing your child to technology would do him more good than bad. That’s the only way for you – and your child – to take full advantage of what technology brings.…
