Web 3.0 Age Has Come

When I type “web 3.0” in the search bar of Google, there came up to 170,000,000 search results, which shows Google’s great search performance. However it didn’t bring me any help of substance actually. When the search results appeared, I still have to check each one to see if this is what I want, item by item per page clumsily. Although Google could offer a large number of search results, most of which are plenty of useless information. I’m sure all of the users would agree with what I’m feeling.
The following is one of the sites in this search, the last one in the first page. Definition of web 3.0 from wikipedia – Web 3.0 with several layers of meaning, to describe different directions and characteristics that might appear in the process of Internet’s developing, including turn Internet itself into a generic database; cross-explorer, super-explorer contact posting and request system; application of artificial intelligence semantic web geographic mapping website built with 3D technology even virtual word and Internet Duchy and so on.
Web 3.0 was born to solve such problems as search effect.
Technology 3.0
Web 3.0 involves a noun: semantic web, which is the central notion of web 3.0. If we assimilate web 3.0 to semantic web, then web 1.0 and web 2.0 should be called grammatical web. One important problem for web 3.0 to solve is to make computers understand what people could understand. This seems to be the same direction as artificial intelligence. Most of the transmission on the internet nowadays are HTML files. Computers could see no more than the intrinsic limited META tags without understanding the meaning of them before the time of semantic web comes. We need computers to understand the meanings of them more intelligently so that Google could filter the useless information during the searching process in the future.
To meet such needs we have to add tags to sites. The tags are just like the property of data sheet, provide content index for other applications on the Internet. Therefore the content of the whole net got structured turned out to be a large database all over the world. This is the definition of generic database.
As normal database needs QSL Internet database needs a query language to get the content. Then came out the RDF acronym for resource description framework, which provided a whole set of standardized query language and application interface. There are two similar network database formats: XML and RSS.
Based on such generic database and universal data format web applications could get information from each other.
Display 3.0
The qualitative change from web 1.0 to web 2.0 is not only the way that its content form. With the consistently development and completion of Ajax technology it vastly improved user experience as the same. But during the 3.0 time, the display of front end may be subversive. It will be showed in 3D format in front of the users. Such great leap in development is not just change the experience of users, but, may be described as, change the form of interaction between humans and computers ultimately.
Of course, even now we have to wear specially made glass to get 3D experience.
It is not a good idea to send along a glass with every display. There must be a brand new way to show the content with web 3.0.
User 3.0
We all know that web 2.0 products have the attribute of social media although it depends on the platform of web. But more unfiltered true information was spread to everywhere more broadly and rapidly through it. In china, there are 400 million cameras ramified all over the country, with great influence to the development of society. As we may say, web 2.0 created the culture of the grassroots as its influence was most focused on the part of culture.
It is conceivable that the users of 3.0 will get more powerful influence and commerce, policy will all step into the world of 3.0. In the past, electronic commerce once have been battered heavily, however it has become an indispensable part of people’s life. Moreover, during the 3.0 time, we are not discussing operating online shops on Taobao to get profit, but users getting paid while promulgating information. That way turn out to be a new style of person-to-person marketing
Operating System 3.0
Web operating system benefited mainly from the rapid development of explorer as main IT explorers have made great efforts to increase JavaScript operating speed. In order to get in tune with the tide of web OS, Google developed chrome very early to lay the basis for future products. And just a few days ago, Tencent launched a new product belongs to Tencent’s own web OS. Which highly integrated Tencent other by-products. So called B/S …

Web 2.0 – Communicating With Your Tenants in the 21st Century

Stay Connected to Your Tenants: Effective Communication Through the Use of Web 2.0 Tools & Technology
Facebook. Web 2.0. Twitter. Buzz. Text. Blog. IM. Social Bookmark. Tag. Youtube. Consider this list of words for a second and ask yourself, “are these nouns, verbs, adjectives, or a combination of all three? Do you know what more than half of these words mean?” If your answers to any of these questions are a little fuzzy or unsure, your next move should be to find out what these terms mean, what role they play in the lives of your tenants, current and potential, and how they can help you as a landlord.
The 21st Century is upon us, as are the technological changes that are currently shaping a generation of students, families, and workers, as well as the education and business worlds. Many places we go these days provide some form of technological support, such as internet cafes, coffee shops that provide wireless networks, and businesses, schools, and college campuses which are bubbles of wireless signals and internet ready workstations. As you head to work or walk through a busy city street, students and adults alike are ‘wired’ into texting on their phones, instant messaging through their iPhones, checking email on their Blackberries, or social networking on their laptops (or any of these devices for that matter). The bottom line is this, technology has helped us to evolve our manner of communicating, socializing, and doing business.
What does any of this have to do with being a landlord and running a real estate business? It has everything to do with being able to communicate and connect to your audience, whether that be current or potential renters. My partners and I have been managing rental properties for close to six years, now, and the difference in how we advertise and work with our tenants has changed dramatically, especially my role as a landlord. When we first started, almost all of my communication with our tenants was through phone calls, an occasional email, or face to face encounters. At the time, this seemed to work. As our properties multiplied (as did our tenants), efficiently and effectively communicating became tough. Playing phone tag became a common occurrence, and trying to find common times when both the tenants and landlord were free to meet on a regular basis was next to impossible. After some time discussing, with both my partners and the tenants, the purposes of all these contacts, we began to has out plans for more efficient and more effective communication. I found out some tenants hate email and rarely check it (this was a huge eye-opener for me and something I took for granted), yet they text message all the time, so like to get their information that way. Other tenants were constantly on email and had their instant message box or Skype account up on their computers at all times and preferred to hear from me through ‘IM’ or video chat. While there were still a few who always preferred a phone call and occasional face to face meeting. As I began to figure this out, I realized that what was important in all of this was finding a method that worked, and what I may not have considered effective (ie- my assumption was texting was too impersonal a method to deliver spectacular service), actually worked best for some.
While the options out there seem endless and overwhelming, the key is to not try to use all of them all of the time or just one of them all of the time. What has worked for me is to find a few that fit certain purposed for contacting the tenants, and matching these up with the tenant preferences. For example, I would use a text message to remind one set of tenants about the monthly walk through coming up, yet I would meet face to face with the same group to discuss something as important as them possibly re-renting. At the end of the day, what is important to realize is that technology is not changing so much of ‘what’ we do (we still need to communicate with our tenants), but ‘how’ we do these things.…

Omalon Foam – What You Need To Look For When Buying New Mattress

Memory foam is not the only foam technology creating a ruckus in the mattress industry today. Mattress buyers are now scrambling to get their hands on mattresses incorporated with Omalon foam.
What Exactly Is Omalon Foam?
This foam structure looks similar to conventional foams. But unlike conventional foams, this kind of foam has undergone densification processes to make the cells longer. The elongated structure of the foam cells makes the mattress durable and a lot more comfortable.
How Can This Foam Improve Sleep?
There is a reason why mattress manufacturers have started incorporating this technology in their mattresses. Here are some of its sterling benefits:
1. It is more resilient
I am sure you have heard of other foam technologies that promise to provide you with resilient structure. When we say resilient, we mean the mattress can return to its original shape even when subjected to heavier loads. However, other mattresses were not able to deliver this promise easily. This is where omalon technology comes in.
Because of the large spherical structure of cells, there is more room for deflection even when it is subjected to heavier load. You have a mattress that returns back to its original shape without a hitch. The mattress is less prone to sags and depressions.
2. It is more reactive
Other foams have a board-like feel to them. Tempur foams give initial resistance. This is why people feel uncomfortable at first. You usually experience this with high-density mattresses. But with omalon structure, you will immediately feel comfortable. You wouldn’t have to wait for the foam to adjust to your temperature and follow the contours of your body.
3. You don’t have to “wear the mattress out first”
Other firm foams need to be worn out first before they can start to feel soft and comfortable. But this mattress is made up of densified cells that are conditioned to provide immediate comfort. You don’t have to use the mattress for a long time to get used to it.
These are just some of the reasons why this foam technology is slowly taking over the mattress scene. When buying a new bed, you would want to start looking for beds incorporated with this foam. There are mattress companies that specialize in densifying polyurethane foams. These foams are made to provide a good combination of support and comfort to the whole bed. Try using this kind of bed if you can’t find the right comfort level in high-density memory foams.…

More MPG – Do You Know the Best Way to Increase Your Miles Per Gallon?

You have surely seen the many products on the market that promise to get more mpg out of your vehicle. Most of them are just tricks and gimmicks. Fact is, only a few will actually make a difference you can notice in your pocketbook. Some are good and some not so much. Some are cheep, some expensive, some are simple, some are very complex. I will give you some in-site and facts about how to get the best bang for your buck; I will also touch on some of the benefits that go above and beyond just getting better mileage when you choose the right product.
If I where to say it is possible to increase your mpg by 50 to 60 percent by installing an hho conversion kit in your vehicle, many of you might say that is just crazy, or this guy must be exaggerating. You might also say if it is possible, it must cost a fortune to buy and get it installed. The truth is these kits have been on the market for years. They go by many different names such as, hydrogen conversion, gas conversion, hho system, and so on. I may call it by several names but you can now I am talking about the same thing.
As I said, this hydrogen fuel technology has been around for some time but has only recently been perfected. The earlier kits where not reliable, they could not save you as much as they do now, and could actually do harm to your engine. In most cases, you would need to have it installed by a professional. The best kits out there today are very cheep and can be installed by you, at home in your driveway, and in only a few hours.
Yes, there are many little things you can do to get more mpg. You can keep your windows closed, keep your tires properly inflated, keep your tank topped off, drive slower, and time the traffic lights. I could go on but you get the point. None of these is going to make the difference that a gas conversion kit will do.
Let me explain what the technology is. You are not running on hydrogen or water only. The system converts water to hydrogen and injects it into the air intake of your engine, mixing it with the gasoline in the combustion chamber, thus using less gasoline. Result, more mpg. Simple right? Here is the kicker, by using this concept of hydrogen conversion, you are not only getting more mpg you will get more power and acceleration. On top of that, you burn cleaner fuel that leaves much less c02 emissions in the air. There is more. Being that your fuel system is running cleaner, you are in turn prolonging the life of your engine.…

Surfing the Tech Industry Wave

As the iPad launches to a fanfare of media trumpets and public anticipation, with sales hitting 1 million a month since its US debut two months ago, there’s little doubt about the continuing growth of the tech industry. Many of these products are manufactured outside of the UK, but their lauded launch onto the national market has spawned a spike in sales and marketing jobs in the tech and IT sector, whilst the developments they offer are guaranteed to influence future business communication and strategy. Here are the key developments shaping the new face of business:
Post, tweet, share – it’s all about social
With the rise of web 2.0 the world has witnessed a revolution in communications – spearheaded by social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, MySpace etc. But far from simple ‘share’ tools, they provide incredible means with which to engage with customers in real-time, offering a means to track brand and sentiment, deliver customer service and assess competitors.
Whenever, wherever – the world’s gone mobile
The mobile has undergone one of the biggest technological transformations of the past 25 years – from costing the earth and weighing a tonne, to being universal, tiny and allowing users to surf the web, check email, take photographs, record audio and movie files on the move, alongside simply making calls; a development that has seen the traditional ‘office’ extend beyond physical buildings, allowing ‘on the road’ sales execs to both communicate and secure contracts in the palm of their hand.
Smart innovation – getting clever with apps
With the launch of web 2.0 and mobile devices, came the surge of apps developed by businesses and marketers to promote service, brand and identity. In just six weeks since the iPad launch 35 million apps had been downloaded, in fact as Facebook has consistently ranked as most popular app for smart phones the smart money would be on a mobile compatible Facebook app no doubt?
Viva la revolution – content is king
Open-source and self-publishing online models have led to a revolution in content – meaning that production costs and skills required for creation have been greatly reduced. As communication mediums diversify to encompass video and audio, so must the sales model – utilizing key sites and functionality for promotion such as YouTube and AudioBoo.
The global market place – successful, online sales strategies
With the rise of online identity and constantly developing communications the need to adapt marketing is essential – at the end of 2009, internet UK ad spend generated A1.75bn pounds and accounted for 23.5% of all advertising spend, compared to 21.9% for television, 18.5% for press display and 11.5% for direct mail. Traditional advertising and marketing models have had to change rapidly to keep up with developments in communication and these days a social media or SEO campaign should be at the heart of any marketer’s strategy.…

How to Save Money Buying a Space Heater

Fresh, cool air is drifting through the color of the autumn trees and some of us are turning the thermostat to “Heat.” Smaller homes and vacation cabins often do not have a furnace, so we rely on the fireplace, a wood stove, or electric heat baseboards to keep the house livable in the winter time. Even in homes with central heating, a small “space heater” can be a handy addition when we only need heat in one chilly area.
Space heaters are handy and convenient, but don’t count on one to heat your home exclusively, or to save much on your heating bill. Electric heaters, even those claiming “infrared technology” are expensive to operate compared to central heat systems such as heat pumps and propane furnaces. You may see mail or television ads for “discounted” space heaters that claim to save you money on your electric bill. Don’t fall for these claims. Most of these ads feature items that are overpriced and then discounted. Similar performance can be found for much lower prices in models available over the internet or in local stores.
Hit the internet yourself (or ask a teenager to help you if this is not your favorite thing) and learn everything you can. Reading the reviews on can tell you a lot. My favorite is Consumer Reports magazine. Consumer Reports Union is a non-profit organization and they do not accept advertising in their magazine. As a result, they are professional and unbiased in their testing and ratings of products.
Use the following tips to choose the right space heater for your home.
What size should you get? The amount of heat generated is rated in “watts” which is a way to determine how much electricity the heater is using. It’s easy to figure out how many watts you need:estimate 10 watts per square foot and multiply the square footage of the room by 10. For example, a room with 144 square feet will require 1,440 watts. When we say square feet, we are just saying measure your room with a tape measure – length and width – and multiply the 2 numbers.
Once you know how many watts you need, you can calculate what it will cost over a year by multiplying the watts times how many hours you have it on times the rate per kilowatt-hour that the electric company charges. Here’s an example. If you have a 1,500-watt heater and you leave it on 24 hours a day at a rate of 9 cents a kilowatt-hour, the cost would be $3.24 a day(1,500 x 24 ? 1,000 x $0.09). Over a month that would amount to $97.20; a year it would be $1,166.40.
How can a space heater help save on energy costs? While the costs in the last paragraph are indeed high, you can still use a space heater and save a little money every month by doing the following.
A Only run the heater when you are in the room.
A Buy an appliance timer to use with your heater if you think you’ll forget to turn it off.
A Lower the thermostat in the rest of the house. Obviously if there are a lot of people in the house, or you’re going from room to room, this strategy will not be comfortable.
Although you will hear words like radiant, oil filled, infrared, ceramic, quartz halogen, and convection in heater descriptions, there are really only 2 types of heaters: radiant and convection, plus combinations of these two. Radiant simply means a strong heating element, like a halogen bulb, that radiates heat. These heaters work well for spot heating. Convection heaters use wire or ribbon elements and a powerful fan to move the heat through the room. They are better for heating large areas. A combination unit, such as a radiator type, uses water or oil circulating in metal fins to produce heat. They don’t get as hot and give off a constant, steady heat.
Any of these heater types are available for less than $200 unless they have fancy accessories like remote controls. Do your homework, and you’ll save money and stay warm too.…
